Description of the
Plant: Herb. Flower colour purple. Flowers and fruits almost throughout
the year. Abundantly found in plains not seen in forests. Tribal people of
Orissa cultivate this plant in their backyards.
Plant Parts Used: Root / Leaf.
Healthcare Properties:
1. Conjunctivitis: Grind
together the roots of Mirabilis jalapa with seven numbers of black pepper to
make a paste. Take this paste orally once a day for three days. (B-6)

2. Fungal infection: Extract juice from the leaves of
Mirabilis jalapa. Apply this juice locally on affected areas twice a day until
