Scuddy
Pets Clinic - Scuddy's Story
This is Scuddy's story, as told by his owners..... Press release for Miss 'Scuddy' Haigh....
Lacey, "Scuddy" developed 'Obstructive Liver Disease' last October 2002 as a direct result of being an imbalanced diabetic for 2 years. Despite treatment with insulin our vet - who is extremely competent, warned us that it was 'the beginning of the end' and that Lacey had only weeks to live. In fact she would probably pass away before Christmas.

He said he could do nothing other than treat her symptoms, which included nausea, excessive thirst, depression, lethargy and loss of appetite.

Within 2 weeks of starting Liver Support she was back to her previous good health, the symptoms have disappeared, and now, months later she is as well as she has EVER been.

Her diabetes has also stabilised and she has no medication other than daily insulin. She is a Jack Russell Terrier (14 lbs) and she has one capsule of Liver Support daily. This is the only thing that has changed in her diet.

Amazingly she is absolutely wonderful, full of health, feeding well and bouncing around like a pup !. Since she went on the Liver Support she has never looked back.

To say she is healthy is an understatement!

A Happy New Year to you, and so many thanks for your help with our dog. Kind Regards N. H.

June 2003 Here are the latest pictures we have of Scuddy. Looking and feeling a lot better.

"Scuddy is absolutely fine, she is nearly blind (due to diabetes) but has a very full life, pics attached show her enjoying her daily walk with Mom and terrier friend. Other than her sight she is abslutely in the pink, full of vitality and still religiously getting her capsule of Liver Support, the vet is still a bit dumbfounded as to how she is still going, but she is, and how !" Thanks Again N.H.

Hiya,
I am delighted to say that Scuddy is still in the pink. She's nearly blind (due to her diabetes) but the way she bounces about you really wouldn't know it.

When she goes for a walk we take her out with Skipper and she keeps her head on his side and just follows on happily. Surprising how smart she is and he certainly knows why she does it.

We doubled her dose of liver support from early September when she had a rough patch, and it has certainly helped.

It's just 12 months ago now since our vet told us she had two, maybe three weeks to live and he hasn't seen an animal come back from obstructive liver disease, it was a 'one way street'.

Looking at her today she is bright, eating well and loves life. Kind regards N. H.
